MamboAnesu 200 MW Solar PV Project – Dete, Zimbabwe
Location: ~349Ha at Lot 2, Dete Annex, within 10 km of the Insukamini 330 kV transmission line, ideal for economical grid connection.
Grid Access: In process of conducting grid-impact assessment with ZETDC, then secure a Transmission Connection Agreement and coordination with the off-taker under a wheeling-contract PPA
Phased Development Schedule
- To be executed in five segments: Pilot (20 MW), followed by 30 MW, 50 MW × 3, aligning with IPP best practices in Zimbabwe allowing staged ramp-up
- Enables iterative EPC contracting, cost control and early revenue generation
- Leverage existing access roads and proximity to 330 kV infrastructure to reduce civil works, equipment haulage and connection costs.
- Objective is to demonstrate strong ESG credentials to satisfy investor mandates aligned with national goals (1,100 MW by 2025, 2,100 MW by 2030)
